Zoe is a true gem! Among her many skills, Zoe sees and understands children for who they are.  A quieter child who observes before jumping in the fray?  Zoe sees and respects that -- and doesn't expect or demand anything else from that child other than for them to develop into who they are.  To arrive.  Then, for the parents, she is able to put into perspective what she sees based in part on her gentle intuition and in part on her years of experience observing and being with children.  In addition, Zoe is an excellent communicator -- with both families and their children.  She has a unique ability to articulate her observations and learnings bringing together the intuition and experience mentioned above.  She is direct and honest while respectful and kind.  Zoe is a gift to any family who is lucky enough to experience her leadership and love.

I highly recommend Zoe as an early childhood educator and caregiver! Our son’s experience at Little Sparrows Preschool set him up for success as he entered more traditional models for kindergarten and now first grade. The friendships he made through Little Sparrows continue to be some of his strongest peer relationships today. Zoe brings an easy authority along with a unique ability to see each child as an individual and nurture their spirit within an innovative nature-based preschool model that prioritizes child-led learning through play. She keeps a special eye on social emotional development, and is a clear and consistent communicator about the daily successes and concerns of the children in her care. We are deeply appreciative of the formative time our family had with her.

Zoe is truly an ideal preschool teacher. In California, her program was based outdoors and provided a perfect situation for molding my twin boys into hearty, outdoor adventure lovers. Conquering trees and streams instilled a sense of confidence that came naturally to them in that environment, while also providing them an outlet for big body play that made room for their minds to focus. She perfectly blended conceptual learning into creative play, which inspired a love of learning at an early age. My boys were with her from 2.5 to 4 years old, made what will surely be life-long friends, and still (at age 6) talk about their love of Zoe and their time at Little Sparrows. You are lucky to have her!

It was a privilege getting to work with Zoe when our daughter was in her care in Point Reyes Station. She has a gift for meeting kids at their level. She asks them to be attentive, aware of their boundaries, and helps them process their emotions and interactions. She provides guidance and expectations of respectful behavior, yet allows them the space to explore and develop into creative and curious little humans, each on their own individual journey. It was extremely fulfilling to watch our daughter's confidence, pride, and inquisitive nature grow. We all learned so much from our time with Zoe and only wish we had more.
